It is so important to protect your buddy against a range of infectious diseases that can have a serious effect on their health and welfare, alongside making sure they don’t contract any nasties like fleas and worms. Best practice treats all dogs as individuals and so they should be assessed to determine what is appropriate vaccinations for them, however the ‘core’ canine vaccines to protect your furry friend against are CDV, CPV and CAV. These diseases can cause canine distemper, parvovirus infection and infectious canine hepatitis so ensure you protect your dog against these severe or life-threatening diseases.
We tailor your dog’s health plan to their size and have a range of pet plans available for small, medium, large and extra-large dogs.
Large dogs like the Golden retriever, Scottish Deerhound and the Rottweiler, require pet preventative healthcare to keep them happy and healthy. Your large breed puppy will require their initial vaccination set and large adult dogs will require top up vaccinations each year.
You will also be required to provide them with annual flea treatment to protect your dog from fleas and worms and ensure they are microchipped in accordance with EU Law. Microchipping will give you peace of mind that your dog will be traced back to you, should they go missing.
Your vet will offer at least the following benefits as part of the Large Dog Pet Health Plan*:
- Annual Core Vaccinations (Including Kennel Cough where required)**
- Flea & Worming Treatments (as recommended by your vet)
- Microchipping (Or
£10 discount on any diet if already microchipped) - 5% off Vetsure Pet Insurance
Your vet may offer additional benefits as part of the Plan – see here for more details!
