It is so important to protect your furry friend against a range of serious infectious diseases that can have a detrimental effect on their health and welfare. Best practice treats all dogs as individuals and so they should be assessed to determine the most appropriate vaccination plan for them, however the ‘core’ canine vaccines to protect your dog against are CDV, CPV and CAV. These diseases can cause distemper, parvovirus, hepatitis and Leptospirosis so it is essential to protect your dog against these severe or life-threatening diseases. Parasites are a common problem for dogs too so it would be worth looking into prevention against fleas and worms.
We tailor your dog’s health plan to their size and have a range of pet plans available for small, medium, large and extra-large dogs.
Medium dog breeds like cocker spaniels, bulldogs and poodles, require preventative care to keep them happy and healthy. Your medium breed puppy will require their initial vaccination set and medium adult dogs will require annual vaccinations. You will also be required to protect your dog annually from fleas and worms and ensure they are microchipped in accordance with EU Law.
Your vet will offer at least the following benefits as part of the Pet Health Plan*:
- Annual Core Vaccinations (Including Kennel Cough where required)**
- Flea & Worming Treatments (as recommended by your vet)
- Microchipping (Or
£10 discount on any diet if already microchipped) - 5% off Vetsure Pet Insurance
Your vet may offer additional benefits as part of the Plan – see here for more details!
