Offering the ultimate in convenience and ease, Vetsure Direct enables you to receive your cat or dog’s preventative healthcare products, such as flea and worming treatments, straight to your door. This means that there are no last-minute rushes to the vets to pick up prescription treatments, and you can be sure that your pet is protected against parasites all year round.
How Does It Work?
Generally, your vet will recommend that your pet needs to have reached their adult weight before the Vetsure Direct service can begin. This is because kittens and puppies gain weight rapidly in approximately the first six months of their lives and will need to be seen by their vet regularly during this time to ensure that prescribed doses are correct.
Once your pet is fully grown it’s far easier for your vet to determine the correct dose of products required. You will still need to come into the surgery for periodic routine health checks but all of the required products included in your plan can be delivered directly to your home. With Vetsure Direct, your vet will choose the best prescription healthcare products tailored to your pet’s needs, and these will then be delivered straight to your door at regular intervals.
How Do I Sign Up?
First, you’ll need to check that your vet is offering Pet Health Plans through Vetsure and signed up to offer direct delivery through our Vetsure Direct service.
Once you’ve found your nearest practice, look for this symbol:
This means that your practice offers Vetsure Direct and your pet’s preventative healthcare products can be delivered straight to your door. Check the practice’s list of benefits to find out more about the products and services that they offer within their Pet Health Plan, and the price for direct delivery where applicable (some practices include direct delivery as standard and include in the price quoted).
Already signed up to a Pet Health Plan?
If you’ve already got a Vetsure Pet Health Plan in place, and you’d like to add Vetsure Direct delivery to your plan package, that’s no problem. We can add this onto any of our plans provided that your chosen veterinary practice offers the service and that your cat or dog has reached their adult weight. Please note that Vetsure Direct is not available for rabbit health plans.
To add Vetsure Direct to an existing plan, please get in contact with the Vetsure Customer Service team and we will be happy to help. Either give us a call, or drop us an email and we will discuss the options with you before sending you a confirmation that you’re all set up with Vetsure Direct. Once that’s done, please contact your local veterinary practice (we will have informed them of the change to your plan as well) to arrange for the service to begin.
